Camp Red Cedar was recently awarded $25,000 from the AWS Foundation for camper scholarships and riding equipment. Camp Red Cedar, a 57-acre summer camp and horseback riding facility just north of Fort Wayne, is a fully accessible facility where campers of all abilities participate in swimming, boating, arts and crafts, sports and field games, horseback riding, karate and a variety of activities.
$5,000 has been designated to purchase new equipment for Camp Red Cedar’s therapeutic horseback riding programs. $20,000 will go toward camper scholarships for children and adults with disabilities who do not have waiver funding or other funding sources.
