Preparations for the second annual Fall Festival at Camp Red Cedar are well under way with plans for festive fall fun. This year’s event will be held on October 18 from 11:00AM to 3:00PM on the camp grounds at 3900 Hursh Rd. Fort Wayne, IN, 46845. Family oriented events and activities will raise community awareness about our programs and help raise funds that will go toward purchasing much needed equipment for the camp and support for our year-round programs, including therapeutic riding.
Events include a costume parade with miniature horses at 12:30PM, photos with the Headless Horseman from 1:00PM to 2:00PM, as well as hay rides, pumpkin decorating, a costume contest, vendor seasonal shopping, open fishing, pony rides, and a bake sale.
Admission is free, however the event is a fundraiser so there is a minimal fees for some of the activities. Refreshments will also be available to purchase.
“This is a great opportunity for the public to visit Camp Red Cedar and see what we’re all about,” said Carrie Perry, Camp Director. “Everyone is invited to tour the facility and participate in fun activities to get into the ‘spirit’ of the season.”
