Camp Red Cedar is throwing a party and everyone is invited! On Friday, August 8 from 6 pm – 9 pm, staff and campers at Camp Red Cedar, 3900 Hursh Road in Fort Wayne, will host their annual Showdeo Family Fun Night. Admission is free and the public is welcome to check out our 57 acre facility and participate in fun activities including: horse drawn wagon rides, a petting zoo, pony rides, a bounce house, boat rides around the lake, campfire and s’mores, arts and crafts, field games, horseback riding demos, a live DJ spinning music and more!
Admission is free, however the event is a fundraiser so there is a minimal fee for some of the activities. Refreshments will be available to purchase. There will also be a silent auction with items from various Fort Wayne restaurants and businesses including TinCaps merchandise, Vera Bradley bags and more. Funds raised will support camper scholarships for the 2015 summer camp season.
“This is a great opportunity for the public to visit Camp Red Cedar and see what we’re all about,” said Carrie Perry, Camp Director. “Everyone is invited to tour the facility, meet our staff and campers, and participate in fun activities.”
