Volunteer Ride/ Hands-On Horse Behavior Clinic

*Free to All Red Cedar Volunteers*

November 22, 2017

10:00am-12:00pm

10:00am-11:00am: Volunteer Ride (Max. 5)

We will start in the indoor arena with a lesson and do a quick trail ride at the end; weather pending.

11:00am-12:00pm: Hands-On Ground Clinic

We want as many volunteers as possible to show up to this clinic! We will be going over a lot of really important horse handling skills and how to read horse body language/behavior.

Including but not limited to:

*Body position while leading

*How to read your horse’s mood

*Bonding with your horse

*Holds and safety

*Be on the offense, not the defense; getting good behavior by expecting good behavior.

This clinic may run a little longer if needed. We want to help you and the horses be successful. If one of you is frustrated, you will both be frustrated, so we want to teach you the skills needed to make your time here fun and a bonding experience. A win-win!

If you are only coming to the Ground Lesson Clinic, please be here around 10:45 so we can assign you a horse and you can get them groomed and ready.

Please RSVP with Theresa at 260-637-3608 or tprentice@campredcedar.com

Hope to see you there!
